Mustard On Me

Mustard On Me

Hey, hey, I know I’ve been away, but  I am almost back to feeling like myself.  I was on a much-needed hiatus call it hibernation if you must and I am so excited to be back.  Eek…this is my first post in 2016!  I hope this weather has not brought you all down but pumped you up for the days in life that are unexpected.  For instance, who knew that some “fall faves” could be recycled to make the perfect looks for the winter. It’s okay if you didn’t because now you know. Continue reading

Sweet Summer Plum Sailin’

Before I kissed the summer sun and breeze goodbye, I went on a boat ride with some friends.  Despite the wait, I had  a lot of fun–okay, to be completely honest, my friends and I were there really early and there was no one at the port for our party boat ride so we ended up on a line with other passengers but for a completely different boat ride. I know, it’s funny now but when your feet hurt from standing so long you would not in the best of moods. Nonetheless, I had fun and shook my tail feather quite a bit and sat quite a bit too, take in the sights of NY.

Sometimes, when you live in a busy city, you can get caught up in the busy life that you do not take the time to just sit and enjoy the view. So, my friend and I thought that this would be a great way to see the city. After all, you really have no choice but to enjoy the view because you’ll be stuck on a boat for 3 hours.

Olé, Olé, Olé…México

Olé, Olé, Olé...México - 1

First Morning in México

I’ve been doing my own countdown for this vacation since I bought the tickets and it was definitely worth the wait.  And, as God should have it  hopefully just the first of many. I’ve always admired those who vacationed alone but being that it was a big one for me, I decided that it should be spent with a loved-one so I took my mom.

She has always had back and has never stopped working to put me and my siblings through college. There have been many days when she would come home tired as a dog but will still be  up and ready to help any and all of us through our problems. Sometimes I take her for granted because I know that she is will be there, but I wanted to show her how much I do appreciate her.  So, this year aside from giving her a card and some candy, I wanted to create new memories that would be filled with moments of pampering and relaxation in México.

Although I had to wear a boot throughout our trip, we did “turn up” as much as we could after all it was our vacation. I will be posting my other looks the following Fridays, but, for now, I hope you enjoy one of my looks below.
