And, so, this list is inspired by them and the spirit of the holiday season–Giving!
Everyone likes to give in their own way so this list is comprise of ideas for D-I-Y lovers, Fashionistas, Bargain-Shoppers, Philanthropists / Humanitarian, and many more.
We finally had our sister day for the month. We have been neglecting this day, but hopefully this puts us back on track. So, you might have noticed something different – yes, I have braids and no they are not extensions. It was done with just my hair and by me. It took me 4-6 hours to do. I say it was 4 hours without interruptions and 6 hours due to interruptions, including snack and meal breaks. I’m keeping these bad boys in for a while, but I will definitely mix it up. It was a bit chilly the last couple of days, including this day that my sister and I went out, but I did not want to let the weather cramp my style so I had fun with it.
On a side note, I finally had the chance to try out Julep Maven’s nail polish – “Erin” to be more specific, and I love it. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already seen it but the results of the nail polish is in my outfit collage below. I wanted to mix it up so I added a crackle / shatter nail polish, ‘Blue Star’ by Mattese Elite.
The past few months have been about me pampering myself and ‘glamming up’ but since I noticed that I really did not have much items or a beauty mix to get glam with I went on a mini online shopping spree. So for the month of October and November, I purchased nail polishes from the monthly subscription site, Julep. I found out about Julep on television while one of their commercials was on promoting its new beauty box line called Maven. The offer was just too good to pass up , so I didn’t – 1 box with $40 worth of item for just $3.97 (that was only the cost of shipping). I have not tried the colors so I do not want to brag too much but look out for a review on the Julep items soon. As for the eye shadow palette, I can give your the ‘deets’ now. It comes with 144 long-lasting colors (at least 8 hours). I am no ‘makeup guru’ but a girl knows how to move her brushes around if you know what I mean, so I was really excited to get this palette for free after purchasing more than $25 worth of e.l.f. products. I felt like a kid messing in their mother’s makeup, except I know a bit more about how to apply it better now. 🙂
From now until 11/18, e.l.f. is offering a $30 beauty kit for just $3 on orders that are $25 and above with the promo code – ‘Merry’.
These are the polishes that came in my November Julep Box.
