I’ve been doing my own countdown for this vacation since I bought the tickets and it was definitely worth the wait. And, as God should have it hopefully just the first of many. I’ve always admired those who vacationed alone but being that it was a big one for me, I decided that it should be spent with a loved-one so I took my mom.
She has always had back and has never stopped working to put me and my siblings through college. There have been many days when she would come home tired as a dog but will still be up and ready to help any and all of us through our problems. Sometimes I take her for granted because I know that she is will be there, but I wanted to show her how much I do appreciate her. So, this year aside from giving her a card and some candy, I wanted to create new memories that would be filled with moments of pampering and relaxation in México.
Although I had to wear a boot throughout our trip, we did “turn up” as much as we could after all it was our vacation. I will be posting my other looks the following Fridays, but, for now, I hope you enjoy one of my looks below.
I am no stranger to rompers and jumpsuits and the ease they provide when getting dressed, and with their fun colors and prints – making it a style perfect for every season, especially the summer. It seems like others are catching on too. I mean, check out some of the styles and the way other fashionistas have paired them. You can go with a spaghetti strap, a cap sleeve, sleeveless, backless or off-shoulder look and much, much more. I love to wear the ones with print s as you can tell from my previous posts, Skate Into The 90s and Let The Grass Touch My Toes from my Style Look Book. So, after perusing the internet, I was feeling a bit inspired by some of the beautiful rompers and jumpsuits and decided to categorize them into three categories: I like, I love, and I want in the photos below.
I hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July weekend. As for me, I decided to stay in and relax…after all, how often are you able to have a long weekend to yourself? (Not often, for me, so I like to take advantage of it and unwind.) In fact, I have not pampered myself in a long time, so, as of late, I have been inspired to get up, get out and get pampered. And, by pampered, I mean getting my nails and feet done or even going to a spa for a massage, which is next on my to-do list.
Since I was due for a pampering this past Friday, I decided to treat my mom, who deserves it as well. It was an easy-going day so I wanted to look cute and feel comfortable so I went for a easy going, easy flowing, flower print dress that was gifted to me. I paired it with some inexpensive orange flip flops (which makes it easier to travel especially , if you are on-the-go and need to step out after a pedicure), a fedora and a cardigan. Yes, I wore a cardigan! You know sometimes we go out sleeveless, backless, or strapless and forget that sometimes the air-conditioning at the place you go is up bit too high. So just to be on the safe side, I wore my cardigan, but in my defense, it was a little drafty in some areas and I was prepared. 😉
