Last week, I attended the home-going of one of my favorite aunts and godmothers, and it was not as sad as I thought it would be. I think it is because my Auntie Morway was a devout Christian, who opened her arms and heart to anyone and everyone. When I went to the wake, I planned on speaking, but when the chance came, I choked. It bothered me all night that I could not share my story of her wonderful life. But, if I had not choked this is what I would have said:
This past weekend was as Mr. Lionel Richie says as “easy like Sunday morning.” My auntie and her best friend invited me to a Caribbean church breakfast and it was fun. We heard the word and played games and danced. Now, I cannot speak for everyone but I will say that
Hey, hey, I know I’ve been away, but I am almost back to feeling like myself. I was on a much-needed hiatus call it hibernation if you must and I am so excited to be back. Eek…this is my first post in 2016! I hope this weather has not brought you all down but pumped you up for the days in life that are unexpected. For instance, who knew that some “fall faves” could be recycled to make the perfect looks for the winter. It’s okay if you didn’t because now you know.
