Growing up my mom always told me that rain is a blessing so this past week I’ve been thinking let the skies open up. As for the cold air, I haven’t heard sayings about that so I’ll be okay if the weather bumps the temperature up to a solid 70 degrees. I promise you will hear no complaints from me. Anywho, I have been away from my blog and it is not out of lack of material but time to ensure the product is better than the last. Also, I have been working on my other life goals that I have been putting off for fear of not “succeeding”, but I have decided to go for it because the worst thing I could hear from anyone is “NO.”
Last week my family and I celebrated my younger brother’s birthday and it was very different, but a good different. Everyone got to share ‘a first’ moment and together – my dad’s first time drinking a beverage out of a fruit other than coconut water, my sister’s first time eating onion strings…yes, some places makes strings. It was also all of our first time hanging out without ‘momsie’ there. As we all get ‘younger’ and time passes us we’ve noticed that we do not get to sit down for dinner as much so special days like birthdays, we really do try.
I’ve always had a liking to the black and white television shows, and old Hollywood glam which is what inspired this ‘coming home’ look. This past weekend, I was returning from a mini-vacation in Florida and was not sure if I should have worn a life jacket, a parka or both with the supposed weather that New York had been having [::Clears throat:: Thunderstorms,(plural) really?]
Taking a modern spin on Hollywood glam, I chose to go for stripes and other shapes while keeping the black and white theme.
