Last week my family and I celebrated my younger brother’s birthday and it was very different, but a good different. Everyone got to share ‘a first’ moment and together – my dad’s first time drinking a beverage out of a fruit other than coconut water, my sister’s first time eating onion strings…yes, some places makes strings. It was also all of our first time hanging out without ‘momsie’ there. As we all get ‘younger’ and time passes us we’ve noticed that we do not get to sit down for dinner as much so special days like birthdays, we really do try.
This is not the outfit I wore out for dinner but the one I wore to work that week for casual Friday. (Well, the shoes are what I should have worn. Oh, and minus the cuff look. 😉 ) If you seen my latest style look book – Adventurous Day, you’ll see where I get the inspiration for this look.
Though this weather is making me question the season, I wanted to honor the fall so I pulled out my new hat and paired it with these new ankle boots. (Funny story, I never use to like ankle boots but hey, never say never, right?!) The striped sweater and the jeans are an oldie but a goodie. The jeans in these photos are actually straight leg but thought this look would work better with a cuffed-like leg so I rolled them up.
(The wind was so strong at times that I felt like it would just scoop me up. My hat blew off my head at least once…and here are the end results.) I hope you all enjoy!
