I love the colors of fall but I love mixing them up even more. As the weather continues to get further from the season we once celebrate through songs such as ‘summertime,’ I welcome the fall and am in search of a good fall jacket. In absence of this jacket, this past week I had to use the slightly heavy but appropriate plaid coat. BTW…the coat was appropriate until 3p.m, then it turned south..literally, the coat had to go unlike this outfit. I paired this denim jacket with this multicolored flowy dress some soft and dark colors such as the purse and the heels and accessories. This maxi dress is an eye-catcher as it allows for showing enough skin combined with colors can brighten any background. The hi-lo effect make it easy to show off the hidden platform oxford boots. Plus, it creates the illusion that your legs are longer, especially when paired with oxford boots.
Random Tip: Finding it hard to let go of the summery, flowy maxi dresses? Well, pair them with tights and leggings and your favorite jacket and boots. You’ll be surprise what kind of look you could pull off. 🙂
Color is everything. It can change your mood, brighten a room or even make a less interesting outfit all the more interesting. Summer’s here and now you are wondering what to wear and how to wear it. I say try everything and as always mix and match to see colors to find out which ones make you feel good and brighten your outfit. With this look, not only odd I play with color but I also played with patterns and textures. I always wanted to try a look that have a crop top and I love the idea of it – it’s short and cute. I bought a top online and thought that small was a universal size but FYI – it’s not. ;-( What I means is that just because the small fits in one brand does not mean that it would fit in another. Let’s just say, I have a crop top but it was not intended to be that way. LOL. This look I was motive by the bright colors that surrounds us during this time – the ocean, grass and the outdoors in general. Nature is beautiful so why not wear it.
Random Tip: Colors, especially bright colors are awesome so try experimenting. Mix ‘n’ match a little and you might find that the not so interesting pair of pants or top that seems a century behind the trend of our times are fabulous when paired with some of color.
Let your stylish animal out! Most wardrobes for springtime are filled with pastel colors but I wanted spice it up with some bolder patterns, prints and as always–color. Most of the color choices that I used in this outfit would be compared to the summer, but the white coat makes this look what I like to call “season-flexible.” It’s season-flexible because you can wear this outfit in the spring with pale or nude heels, and then in the summer with sandals (wedges – optional). I titled this look the concrete jungle because each article of clothing represents an animal or thing that can be found in the jungle and I’m a NYC girl, of course! Plus, the pants alone would make one feel like they were in a tropic jungle.
Random Tip: Let other surroundings inspire you. It could be the jungle or the desert or even an fuzzy friend (tigers, lion, etc.) You would be surprise with the looks you can create.
